The Heart of a Superfan: A memoir of grit, love, family and basketball
The Raptors' story is an underdog story— and the same is true for their greatest superfan. This memoir offers a courtside view into the extraordinary life of Nav Bhatia.
You know him as the Raptors Superfan, but Nav Bhatia's story is bigger than basketball.
The Nav Bhatia Superfan Foundation
Nav Bhatia is better known as the Superfan. He hasn’t missed a Raptor’s home game since they first began playing in 1995. His goal is simple; unite people of all ages and backgrounds through the game of basketball so they don’t have to face the discrimination Nav faced over the years as a visible minority.
To achieve this goal the Superfan has started the Nav Bhatia Superfan Foundation. A non-profit dedicated to raising money to build basketball courts and camps for kids here in Canada and across the globe. You can show your support for the foundation by purchasing a product from the “I’m with Nav” collection. Nav Bhatia is NOT profiting $1 from the purchase of any item in the store, he is in fact donating his entire share of the proceeds to the foundation.
"I would like to personally thank you for your support. A wise man said - the true measure of a man is not his intelligence or how much he amasses. No, the true measure of a man how quickly can he respond to the needs of others and how much of himself he can give. This country has given me a life I could only dream of. The goal of the foundation is simple - to unite all of us from different backgrounds and faiths through the game of basketball"

Building basketball courts
The Nav Bhatia Superfan Foundation is committed to building and resurfacing basketball courts across Canada. The first courts are scheduled to be built in Malton - a community where Nav first started his journey in Canada. These four courts will be available free of charge and open to all kids across all neighborhoods. Nav also plans on hosting camps and programming for the kids to enjoy with the goal to unite kids of all backgrounds through the game of basketball. Your purchase goes towards these courts.
Daughter's of india
As an ambassador for World Vision, Nav Bhatia embarked on the mission to raise $200,000 to build washrooms for girls in northern India. With no safe washroom facilities at their schools, young girls are often forced to find refuge in the surrounding fields creating unsafe situations. As a result many young girls are often forced to drop out of school and stay home.
" EVERY child is unique and special and has the ability to make a significant contribution during their lifetime. Education is an investment in every child's future and being born a girl should not come with any disadvantages. I am proud to be a part of the World Vision Rise-Up Daughters of India initiative."
- Superfan Nav Bhatia
The Foundation is proud to say we have reached our $200,000 commitment a year early, building girls washrooms at over 20 schools. We are now looking to embark on a further commitment of $130,000 to build girls washrooms at an additional 12 schools in northern India.
Your purchase helps towards girls education.
"As I always say, Canada is a heaven on earth"

What better feeling would the basketball Superfan have than witnessing our Canadian Men's and Women's National teams make the podium. With the incredible basketball talent we have in Canada now this dream may not be that far off. However, Canada Basketball still requires help and funding. The Nav Bhatia Superfan Foundation supports Canada Basketball and will help with resources to one day see our kids standing glorious with gold on the world stage.
